Sonatina for Trombone And Piano

This contemporary piece (revised 2018) consists of three movements entitled I. Scherzo  II. Ballade and III. Rondo.  In all the movements it has jazz influences either in its harmonic or rhythmic aspects. .  The pulsating scherzo is filled with jaunty 6/8 rhythms. The Ballade is reminiscent of the ballad style of the Stan Kenton Orchestra. The Rondo is overtly in a rhythmic jazz style. A challenging piece for both the trombonist and the pianist.
